Ofsted Outcome

I am delighted to inform you that the full Section 5 Ofsted Report from our two-day inspection in November is now available to view on the school website and will be released on the Ofsted site in due course.

We are delighted to confirm that the school has been graded 'Good' again, just like we were in 2018 and 2014.

The process was very detailed and rigorous and I am really pleased that this has been acknowledged. I would like to extend my many thanks to all who took part in the inspection, staff, governors, parents and pupils alike.

The school's grading is 'Good', a benchmark that is high under the current Ofsted framework. We are pleased that the hard work undertaken by all in the school community has been recognised, including the school systems in place, the ambition of staff and governors, the commitment of our pupils and the achievements gained.

The report itself details the many elements of good provision but there are many more elements that staff provide that are impossible for inspectors to capture over a two-day period. Our staff have always gone over and above to support your children and the Shortbrook community and I am so privileged to be part of this team.

The inspection team were extremely impressed by what they saw and told us that we are rapidly heading in the right direction on our journey to outstanding.

As the Headteacher I am incredibly proud of all our pupils and their success and that staff, provide a 'warm and welcoming' school for pupils and parents. The parent surveys were the best he had ever seen which was a real strength of the school - my sincerest thanks to you all!

Like all inspections, next steps have also been identified which we will address as part of our whole school improvement work.

Please take the time to read the report and if you would like a paper copy please call in and ask the office. Any questions or queries, please ask.

Once again, thank you for your continued support.

Best Wishes

Mrs Hearnshaw

Headteacher
