A very warm welcome to our school website, we hope you enjoy viewing our pages which are regularly updated with news and events from in and around our school community.
At Shortbrook Nursery & Primary School every child is special and valued as an individual. We expect and enable all children to achieve their best. Success and effort is always rewarded at our school.
We know that high self esteem and confidence are vital to ensuring the best possible life chances for our children. Whilst we encourage our children to excel in academic work, we also support each child to make decisions about their own development and progress, the development of the school and how we as a school engage with the local and extended community.
We ended the school year 2017-2018 at 94.8%. The highest attendance we have had at Shortbrook for several years!
We are leaving the school target at 96% in the hope that we will meet it at the end of this year. We are also offering the trip to Gulliver's Kingdom again as this was a huge success with over 58 children attending.
To encourage our children to attend school regulary we offer an end of term reward. The class with the most ice-creams at the end of term will get a visit from the ice-cream van.
