As a school we aim to promote vaccinations to help prevent any outbreaks in school. Please see the guidance below on the MMR Vaccination.
MMR is a safe vaccine that is given to children before they start school. It helps protect against three separate illnesses - Measles, Mumps and Rubella (German Measles). Measles, Mumps and Rubella are common highly infectious conditions that can cause serious implications.
MMR Vaccine is given on the NHS as a single injection to babies as part of their routine vaccinations, usually within a month of their first birthday.
They will then have their second injection of the vaccine before starting school, usually between the ages of three and five. Please contact your GP if you are unsure as to if your child has had the Vaccination or for further information.
